If you feel sick to your stomach, you may be having a hard time working up to eating regularly. The following should definitely be on your “do not eat” list until you’re feeling better:
Food – This should go without saying…but I’ll say it anyway. Spicy foods are NOT conducive to an
upset tummy. Tell your spicy food
cravings to chill out until you’re feeling up to par.
- Cheese – I’m a dairy freak, so I hate even having to bring this up. But it must be said: eating cheese or other dairy products can actually cause diarrhea. So stay away from it!
– Kind of random, huh? Not so
much. Tomatoes are very acidic, and
this acidity can hurt your upset stomach even more.
- Caffeine – Caffeine—even the small amount that’s in chocolate—should be avoided until you’re feeling 100%.
- Nuts – Many people find it difficult to digest nuts, so why put your body through trial after trial while you’re already feeling under the weather?
