Sometimes, you may notice irregularities in your stools that could or could not be cause for alarm. Here are some common issues and the possible causes of them:
1. Dark black and sticky stools
Seek immediate medical attention if you see these types of poo in your toilet. It could be due to blood in the upper part of your digestive tract.
2. Very dark brown stools
This could be due to an excess of salt, recent red wine consumption, or not eating enough veggies.
3. Beet red stools
This is most likely from eating a lot of red foods or red food coloring.
4. Extremely thin stools
This could be an indication of a polyp developing in your colon.
5. Greasy-looking stools
These are due to insufficient nutrient absorption.
