Unlike its counterpart, whole grain flour, white flour is only made from the starchy part of wheat. Whole grain flour, on the other hand, contains the starch, protein, and fiber from the base ingredient. With white flour, the actual healthy parts of the wheat have been removed!
As Dr. Edward F. Group III, author of The Green Body Cleanse, says, "When the natural B-vitamins are removed, synthetic B-vitamins, engineered from petrochemicals (derived from coal tar, are then added, which cause imbalances in the body." Furthermore, did you know that in one study, pigs were fed tons of synthetic B-vitamins and ended up producing sterile offspring? Looks like synthetic B-vitamins produce absolutely no nutritional value and can actually harm your body.
Since white flour has been stripped of the wheat's fiber, it's very difficult to pass effectively through the digestive system, particularly the large intestine.
Furthermore, did you know that white flour is frequently bleached to get rid of the yellow color it has after being milled? The bleaching process also increases the amount of gluten that the flour can produce. The most common oxidizing agents that are used during white flour processing at the toxic chlorine, benzoyl peroxide, acetone peroxide, and nitrogen dioxide.
