Case Study: The Almighty Cleanse, Conclusion

It’s been an interesting journey for Steve during this intense Almighty Cleanse. When asked to summarize his experience with this case study Steve reports: 

“Overall, I felt that the cleanse was a good experience and that it was effective. There was not one point during the week in which I felt nauseous or that the pills were having a negative effect on my body. I came into this program as a skeptic thinking that it would be a waste of my time. I read numerous testimonials on websites written by Almighty Cleanse users about their personal horror stories with the product. 

“After my week on the program, I would defend the product and have no problem recommending it to another person. The only thing about the cleanse that I didn’t particularly like was the amount of pills that I had to take each day. If I had the opportunity to try another cleanse, I would be interested since I had a positive experience with this one. I might not necessarily do this cleanse again just because of the amount of pills I was required to take.”

Sounds great, Steve! I’m glad that you feel positively about the Almighty Cleanse.

Case Study: The Almighty Cleanse, Part 9

Here is Steve’s handy dandy reference table for his seventh day:

As you can see, Steve’s final day on the Almighty Cleanse only yielded one visit to the bathroom. However, since this is the wrap-up of the cleanse, it makes sense, as there shouldn’t be nearly as much matter that needs to be flushed out at this point.  Steve also had a nice surprise at the end of the cleanse:

“I went to the gym one more time making it four times for the week and weighed in afterwards. I weighed myself the day I started to see if the cleanse would have any effect on my weight. To my surprise, I weighed in at 188 lbs, which meant that I lost 6 lbs for the week. It’s funny because looking at myself in the mirror, it doesn’t seem like I lost 6 lbs.”

This is terrific news! Steve goes on to say:

“Maybe the cleanse did work after all and eliminated some of the build-up that was housed in my intestines. It was definitely a pleasant surprise and gave me a sense of gratification after all of the hard work I put into the program.”

Steve reports: 

“Woke up today and went through basically the same routine as yesterday. Made some breakfast and then went to the bathroom afterwards. Remember yesterday when my stool was half normal and half gross? Well today all of it was that gross greenish color and there was a lot, especially for me going twice yesterday. Once again, it initially had some form to it but fell apart when flushed. The thing that puzzles me is how quickly everything comes out. Being finished in less than a minute is uncharted territory for me.”

But what great territory it is! Not only do you feel better, you have more time in your day that you would otherwise spend on the porcelain god.

Regarding Steve’s general health, he states:

“The rest of the day I felt great and what even made it better was that it was my last day of college classes. I decided to stray a little from my diet and treat myself to some homemade pizza for supper and ice cream for dessert. They were both delicious and worth it. Technically I should up my dosage of the Formula 1 tablets because I only went to the bathroom once today, but since tomorrow is my last day, I’ll just stick with the 3 pill dosage I’ve been taking.”

Case Study: The Almighty Cleanse, Part 7

Sweet! It looks as though the cleansing is still going on, as we’ve gone from one bowel movement on day four to two during day five. Our case study participant explains the experience:

"Woke up today and had a feeling of tightness in my lower stomach. It was a pretty good indication that I would probably have to go to the bathroom in the near future. So I went to the kitchen, made some breakfast, and sat down to watch some TV. By the time I was finished with my morning meal, I needed to go.

“Once again, everything came out within the first 15 seconds I was in the bathroom and there was a lot . . . Half of the stool was my normal shape, size, and color and the other half was a gross dark green color. The gross part was thicker but not as compact. As soon as I flushed the toilet, the gross part lost its form, basically falling apart. Even though it was disgusting, it was kind of cool at the same time. Just by looking at what came out I could see exactly where the formula 2 pills started to take effect. 

“I went again around 7:30 PM. This time there wasn’t as much but it had that dark greenish color again. It’s nice because everything comes out very easily and quickly. Before the cleanse, I never had a problem with pain while going or anything along those lines, but I would take at least 15 minutes for each trip until I had the feeling that nothing else was going to come out. Since I started the cleanse, I get the feeling that everything has come out within the first minute that I’m in the bathroom.”

Steve, you and I are a species of a different kind. While you found the color and consistency of your bowel movement interesting and kinda “cool,” I would have most likely had the same reaction. It’s nice to know that an impact is being made by this program!

Regarding his overall feeling and wellbeing, Steve says:

“Waking up with the tightness in my stomach was my first experience with any kind of discomfort since beginning the program. It wasn’t painful, just annoying. It went away as soon as I relieved myself in the morning. Other then the stomach discomfort, I felt good. From what I saw today it’s a relief to see that the Formula 2 pills are doing something. What I saw was definitely not normal, and I’ve never seen that color before in my life. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.”

It looks as though Steve’s experiencing a small lull in the flushing process. While he has experienced three and two bowel movements during the second and third day (respectively), he only made one trip to the potty today.

Steve talks about the lull with some disappointment:

“Woke up this morning expecting to see some interesting things today but was very disappointed. All day long I had no urge to use the bathroom. I continued with my modified diet, went to the gym, and drank a ton of water. However, it just wasn’t happening. I forced myself to go around 5:30 PM thinking that it would help jumpstart my system. Very little came out and it was normal shape, size, and color. “Due to my lackluster day, I upped my dosage of the formula 1 tablets from two to three pills. According to the Almighty Cleanse manual, there’s a chance that your body may adapt to the Formula 1 pills as the week goes on. If the new dosage doesn’t do the trick, I might have to stop with the cleanse because it’s definitely abnormal for me not to go at all especially when I’m taking pills that are supposed to make me go more frequent.”

Another good thing, Steve—you’re doing a great job paying attention to your body. Steve goes on to say, “Despite not going all day long, physically I felt fine. I had a lot of energy which led to another good workout at the gym.”

Case Study: The Almighty Cleanse, Part 5

I get the increasing feeling that this Almighty Cleanse stuff may actually be a miracle in a bottle. Steve’s third day of the program shows positive signs. He states: 

“Once again I woke up and was in the bathroom within 15 minutes. The stool was very loose and came out with the first 30 seconds I was in the bathroom. Other then that observation, the color was fairly normal. Usually when I go to the bathroom, I am in there for at least fifteen minutes. When I went today, I was in and out in several minutes.”

This is how all of your bowel movements should be! When you spend more than five minutes in the bathroom because of a bowel movement, this means that you are constipated. A quick, comfortable movement is a good sign of digestive health.

Steve says, “I went to the bathroom again at 3:30 PM. My stool was very similar to what it looked like in the morning except there wasn’t as much.”

Regarding his overall wellbeing, Steve reports:

“I still had that slightly bloated feeling throughout the day but other than that I felt great. Honestly I was worried today because I didn’t know how my body was going to react to 28 pills of foreign herbs. I’ve read several testimonials online about Almighty Cleanse users who have said that the formula 2 pills made them very nauseous to the point that they had to discontinue the cleanse due to vomiting. It’s definitely a relief knowing that I didn’t feel the least bit uncomfortable throughout the day.”

It looks like Steve is looking forward to tomorrow as much as his Colonista! “I’m very interested to see what comes out tomorrow since I have completed my first day’s worth of the cleansing tablets. I’m confident that I don’t have any eight-legged parasites crawling around inside my intestines like the infomercial said but I guess I’ll have to wait and see,” Steve says.

Case Study: The Almighty Cleanse, Part 4

Here’s Steve’s quick reference for day two of his experience with Almighty Cleanse:

The most notable information given to me by Steve for his second day was the fact that he made three trips to the bathroom. It’s pretty obvious that this cleansing system is working hard to flush out Steve’s system. He reports:

“I woke up around 8:30 AM and within minutes I was in the bathroom. Everything came out very easily and was typical size, shape, and color. When I was done, I grabbed breakfast and shortly after found myself back in the bathroom. This time my stool was very loose, but once again there was no discomfort. I went to the bathroom once more after dinner. This time my stool was almost the consistency of diarrhea, but there was no pain or burning sensation. Similarly to my first two trips to the throne, everything came out very smoothly and quickly. The longest time that I was in the bathroom was probably only around five minutes. Three occurrences in one day was a pretty good indication that I reached my correct dosage of the Formula 1 pills and could start phase 2 of the cleanse.” 

I concur, Steve. The fact that you experienced no pain or discomfort during each of your movements is further evidence that the Almighty Cleanse is doing its job. A normal bowel movement should be absolutely painless, and that’s what Steve experienced.

Steve experienced other symptoms that he attributes to the cleanse:

“Physically, I felt great all day long with the exception of the slight bloating feeling. I have a feeling that I’ll probably be like that all week long, though.

“After dinner I went to the gym and had an incredible workout. When I was finished, I felt just as fresh as I did when I started. It’s hard to say whether I can attribute the increase in energy that I experienced to the Formula 1 pills or my modified diet since it is very early in the program, but that’s definitely an aspect of my health that I’ll be monitoring over the next five days.”

Case Study: The Almighty Cleanse, Part 3

Steve was organized enough (thanks, buddy!) to make your Colonista a quick-reference table to use to track his progress and diet for each day.

Here’s the table for day one:

Steve followed the directions and took one Formula 1 pill last night with his last meal. He explains that “the Formula 1 pill is supposed to increase the frequency and regulate the amount of times that the user experiences bowel movements throughout the day. The first day or two are kind of test periods where I need to figure out what dosage of the Formula 1 pills will give me at least two bowel movements daily.”

 Steve goes on to prove his eligibility as the Colonista’s favorite test subject by even altering his diet to make the cleanse more efficient: “Today I modified my diet as recommended by the Almighty Cleanse program to help maximize my results. From now on my choices of foods will only include whole grains, fresh fruits, vegetables, beans, and white meats. I also increased my water intake to at least four large glasses a day while cutting out all other liquids with the exception of fresh fruit juice.”

No bowel movement today. However, Steve reports, “I’m currently a little gaseous and feel kind of bloated, but that is a fairly common side effect from what I have read about colon cleanse products. I doubled my dosage of Formula 1 by taking two pills after dinner in hopes that tomorrow will bring me better luck.”

Case Study: The Almighty Cleanse, Part 2

Steve and I share something in common: we have a passion for infomercials. Our case study participant reports that “I came across the Almighty Cleanse system on a television infomercial (yes, I’m probably a sucker) and figured it couldn’t hurt to try it out.” 

Before Steve committed to the Almighty Cleanse, he wanted to do his research. After he did some research on the practice of colon cleansing itself, he “learned that for first time cleansers, it’s best to initially do the herbal treatment.” So he decided to go ahead and get the Almighty Cleanse, since it’s a natural, herbal product.

Steve explains the cleansing process when using the Almighty Cleanse product: “It is a 7-day program with two formulas that are required for the cleanse. Formula 1 is taken to regulate the amount of times you go to the bathroom, and Formula 2 is taken for the actual cleansing of the intestines.”

Sounds easy, right? Well, there was one thing that made Steve not-so-thrilled: “I was both surprised and a little bitter when I found out that I would have to take nearly 30 pills daily for the final 5 days to perform the cleanse.” I hear you, Steve. I’m not a huge pill-taker myself. But, Steve concludes optimistically, “I’ll give the program a chance and see what happens throughout the week.”

Case Study: The Almighty Cleanse, Part 1

Steve is a college student, which should tell you a lot. College students are notorious for their poor eating habits. Steve assured us that “I try my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle by going to the gym at least four times a week, eating three complete meals a day, and getting at least eight hours of sleep a night.”

 He goes on to say that “going to the bathroom has never been a problem for me. I’ve never been constipated, never had painful bowel movements, and I couldn’t tell you the last time I’ve had loose stool or diarrhea.” Steve reports that the frequency of his movements vary depending upon his physical activity. Typically, Steve experiences a bowel movement at the very least every other day.  When he is more physically active, he visits the bathroom once a day.

 Why did Steve want to try out colon cleansing? I’ll let him tell you:

 “So why colon cleanse if I go regular with very little variation in the shape and size of my fecal matter? Well, I first heard of the benefits of colon cleansing about a year ago and that every adult should have his or her colon cleansed several times during his or her lifetime. The idea that there could possibly be 20 pounds of hard, crusty waste stuck to my intestinal walls seemed kind of gross to me.

 “How am I supposed to get the most out of my body if I haven’t been giving it the proper maintenance? I wouldn’t drive my car without getting an oil change every 3000 miles; why would I treat my body any differently.”
