Six parts filtered water
One part brown basmati rice that has been soaked for thirty minutes and drained
One part mung beans that have been soaked for sixty minutes and drainedi
One part veggies including spinach, carrots, green beans, and other green vegetables
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add cumin for flavor.
Add one finely chopped onion, chopped garlic, and chopped garlic and sauté until beautifully golden brown.
Stir in one teaspoon of turmeric powder, one bay leaf, and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper powder.
Add the water, mung beans, veggies, and rice and cook for one hour.
When the beans feel completely soft, add some salt to taste.
Serve and enjoy!
