I’m sure that you’ve most likely heard of colonics, but you
may be confused as to what really goes into giving yourself one. I’ve put together some general information
about what to expect when giving yourself a colonic.
Colonic equipment is sold throughout the internet. A good place to look is: EverestHealth.com. As you can see, all you need in order to
perform a self-colonic is a five gallon bucket and a colonic board that
features an opening and shield at one end as well as tubing and a speculum.
The bucket should rest at the back of the toilet, either on
the tank or a nearby shelf. The tubing
should begin in the bucket and go to the backside of the shield, where it will
attach to the speculum.
The entire speculum is about ten to twelve inches long and
is about the width of a pencil in diameter. During the colonic, the speculum is inserted into your anus
approximately two inches. It will remain
there during the entirety of the colonic. The tool allows water to flow in and out at the same time due to its
narrowness.
Once the colonic is begun, water enters your colon because
of gravity, not because of water pressure. As the procedure continues, water and waste are expelled around the
tubing and is dumped into the basin.
While it may seem “gross” at first, colonics are terrific
ways to cleanse your colon on a regular basis.
